WHO IS THE TOAD?
I am an artist, traveler, adventurer and lover of most things. If I am not spending all my time teaching middle school students I am making everything I can, traveling the world, climbing things, and living life to its fullest.
How I fell in love with art
Back in the days of being a middle school student, I couldn't stop making things. If I saw something I liked, I would look at it and figure out how it was made... before the internet. It progressed as I grew and I began to fall in love with all the art forms. I drew, painted, sculpted, and made clothes as a kid. My love of handicrafts and art have traveled with me my whole life. I still want to make everything creative I see, and most of the time I do.
How I fell in love with travel
In the spring of 2005 I asked a friend about her trip to India on a study abroad program. It sounded fun and I decided it would be amazing to go too. A few weeks later I was signed up and I left the country for the first time for a whole semester. I studied at the University of Pondicherry and I fell in love with cultures and travel. I haven't stopped dreaming or traveling to all the places I want to go since then. So far I have traveled to over 30 countries and for the 2019-2020 school year I will be taking some time for myself and my art to travel for a year.
